Things to Do

If you have some extra time while you’re in Lodi, we highly recommend exploring a few of our favorite spots. From wineries to great food and a little shopping, there’s plenty to enjoy.

At Wine & Roses

Wine & Roses is more than just our wedding venue. It’s a beautiful place to spend time and unwind. The property features lush gardens, peaceful walking paths, and a relaxed wine country atmosphere. You can enjoy a meal or drinks at the on-site restaurants, unwind at the spa, or simply take a walk through the grounds and enjoy the setting. It’s the perfect place to slow down and soak in the weekend.

Wineries We Love

Lodi is known for its laid-back wine country feel, and these are some of our go-to places:

- Michael David Winery: A fun, lively winery known for bold wines and a relaxed atmosphere. Great outdoor space and an easy, welcoming tasting experience.

- Lucas Winery: One of Lodi’s oldest family-owned wineries, offering a more intimate and classic tasting experience in a peaceful vineyard setting. Take the tour!

- Bokisch Vineyards: Beautiful hilltop views and Spanish varietals make this a standout. A perfect spot to slow down and take in the scenery. Taylor highly recommends the Albariño.

- Viaggio Estate & Winery: An Italian-inspired feel known for its beautiful grounds and and a choose your own journey tasting experience.

- Oak Farm Vineyards: A laid-back, picturesque winery with plenty of space to relax, enjoy a glass of wine, and take in the surroundings.

Each offers something a little different, but all capture what we love most about Lodi.

Favorite Restaurants

Whether you’re grabbing a casual bite or sitting down for dinner, these are some of our favorites:

- Pietro's Trattoria: Hands down our favorite restaurant in Lodi. A cozy Italian spot with a great atmosphere. Perfect for a relaxed dinner with classic dishes and good wine. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu!

- Oxford Kitchen: A go-to for dinner with a british-inspired menu, great cocktails, and a welcoming atmosphere.

- Market Tavern: A go-to for brunch, lunch, or dinner. Fresh, approachable dishes in a bright, welcoming space.

- Five Window Beer Co.: Casual and lively with great craft beer and a fun, social atmosphere.

Around Downtown Lodi

Downtown Lodi is perfect for a relaxed afternoon. You’ll find:

- Cute local boutiques and vintage shops

- A handful of tasting rooms if you want to sip without leaving downtown

- A couple of cigar lounges for a slower pace

It’s an easy way to spend a few hours and get a feel for the area.

A Perfect Day in Lodi

If you’re looking to make a day of it, here’s how we’d do it:

- Start your morning with a slow breakfast and coffee (Kristian loves Golden Ox Diner), then head out for a late morning tasting at Bokisch Vineyards or Michael David Winery.

- From there, make your way to lunch at Oxford Kitchen or Market Tavern.

- Spend the afternoon exploring downtown Lodi. Pop into a few boutiques, grab a glass of wine at a tasting room, or just take your time walking around.

- If you’re up for another stop, visit Oak Farm Vineyards or Viaggio Estate & Winery for a relaxed afternoon tasting.

- End the day with dinner at Pietro's Trattoria or keep it casual with food and drinks at Five Window Beer Co.
